Within the framework of the scientific and educational consortium "Vernadsky -Ulyanovsk Region" together with the Lomonosov Moscow State University, the regional platform of the International Youth Scientific Forum "Lomonosov" and the scientific conference of students, postgraduates, and young scientists "Lomonosov-2021" were organized in USU.

The geography of the regional platform participants based on USU covered 25 subjects of the Russian Federation and five states. Advisor to the Rector of USU Elena Semenova noted that the university acts as a regional platform for a landmark event for all young scientists for the second year in a row. This year, the number of participants has increased to 482: "Participation in such an event is a great opportunity to present the results of your research to a wide audience for discussion."
