Dimitry Trofimov-  the cleric of the Spaso-Voznesensky Cathedral of Ulyanovsk  - held the consecration of  Holy Ice-hole  on Sviyaga  river next to  Ulyanovsk State University. He congratulated the citizens  and recalled the spiritual meaning of the christening. Together with the church members, the priest read the prayer, and then blessed the water in the hole.

Epiphany - The   Great Orthodox holiday -  is celebrated annually on January 19. The Epiphany bathing officially began at midnight. Jordan receives dozens of believers on campus every year.
