The Bangalore Forum was organized under the auspices of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, the world's leading organization engaged in standardization in the field of radio electronics and a number of related disciplines. The conference featured more than 200 reports on the development of measuring systems, sensors, automation. Such well-known researchers as Giorgio Metta from the Italian Institute of Technology made a report on "The study of visual-tactile associations in a humanoid robot with artificial skin", Kian O Matuna from the National Tyndall Institute (Ireland) made a report on "Microsensory systems for the future of the "Internet of Everything", Valerie Renaudin from Gustave Eiffel University, (France) with the topic "Intelligent data processing using wearable devices: should human influence be taken into account".
The report of USU specialists Alexey Tregubov, Viktor Prikhodko, Alexander Alekseev, Sergey Novikov, Galina Tertyshnikova and Andrey Zhukov "Distributed fiber-optic calorimetric dosimeter" was included in the program. The originality of the study consists in combining two different scientific directions: fiber-optic reflectometry and calorimetry. The work of USU scientists was selected among the top 10 for publication in the IEEE Sensors Letters journal.
