"New cultural products, cases and practices of UNESCO Creative Cities"  international online meeting  was held at the USU “Boiling Point”. The event was held under the auspices of  the "Book Lighthouse of St. Petersburg. Music of Meanings"  All-Russian festival. For two hours, the participants discussed the development of municipalities through the innovative experience of UNESCO creative cities. Dmitry Zverev , the acting head of the city of Ulyanovsk , talked about  the importance of work in the field of development of creative industries at the UNESCO level. The geography of the participants was extensive: representatives of the creative cities of the Russian Federation Ulyanovsk, St. Petersburg, Kargopol, Kazan were joined by like-minded people from Brazil and Kazakhstan, the Republic of Belarus, as well as Vladivostok and Krasnoyarsk, who seek to get into the UNESCO creative network.

The Directorate of the Ulyanovsk – UNESCO Literary City program, together with the city administration, is actively working on the socio–cultural adaptation of foreign students - excursions, Russian national holidays, thematic meetings and competitions are held for them.
