The anniversary congress is held on the basis of the Lomonosov Moscow State University. Representatives of universities discuss the main areas of cooperation of the member universities of the Association, as well as organizational issues of the EAU.

The Euroasian Universities Association is one of the oldest associations of universities in the Eurasian space, established in 1989, it unites 140 leading universities. The President of the Eurasian Association of Universities is  Viktor Sadovnichy  , the head of the Russian Union of Rectors, Rector of Moscow State University.

Rectors and vice-rectors of universities from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and other countries participate in the Congress. As a result, decisions will be made that will allow universities to coordinate their strategies to develop responses to modern challenges, expand cooperation, and contribute to improving the quality of education and the effectiveness of scientific research in accordance with the requirements of the XXI century.

It is planned to discuss the implementation of network educational programs, the development of a quality mark of educational products, humanitarian projects, mechanisms of interaction between business, state corporations and universities.
