Ivan Efremov, Associate Professor of the Department of Hospital Surgery of the Medical Faculty of USU, traumatologist-orthopedist, , in the framework of cooperation between Ulyanovsk State University and Chongqing Medical University (China) wentt to Chongqing to learn  minimally invasive knee and hip prosthetics. The training will take place at the Department of Orthopedics of the affiliated hospital of the university. The course provides an opportunity to gain comprehensive knowledge and practical experience in the field of minimally invasive hip and knee replacement, as well as robot-assisted joint replacement using advanced technologies.

The clinic where the training takes place provides all types of medical care, conducts scientific research, prevention, and develops international cooperation. The Department of Orthopedics performs more than 10 thousand operations a year, including using robotics. The course trains specialists from many countries of the world, it promotes the exchange of scientific knowledge and effective interaction of young scientists. The gained experience and scientific knowledge will be used in the educational process of Ulyanovsk State University and practical healthcare of the region.
