Valery Falkov,  head of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation held a large-scale "Modernization of higher education: new opportunities and fundamental changes"seminar-meeting. The event took place on the federal territory of Sirius in Sochi and brought together more than 180 representatives of the academic community, authorities and the real sector of the economy from 50 subjects of the country. Among the participants was also the Rector of Ulyanovsk State University Boris Kostishko.

The workshop plan included the project and analytical work of the participants in 12 sections. Previously, the Minister of Science and Higher Education made an introductory report, in which he focused the audience's attention on the main priorities of the development of the higher education system.

"This year we have devoted to discussing the contours and image of the updated higher education system. Today we are summarizing the results of this work," said Valery Falkov.

The results of this activity were presented during the final discussion. The event took place on the eve of the Congress of Young Scientists, which will be attended by over 5,000 people from more than 25 countries from November 28 to 30.
