"Digital Breakthrough. Season: Artificial Intelligence" project is the part of the "Russia is a country of opportunities" presidential platform. The competition brought together more than two thousand participants from Russia, China, Germany and other countries. 30 winning teams shared the prize fund of 10 million rubles.

The participants of the hackathon on artificial intelligence developed solutions in 10 cases, in each task the teams competed for a prize fund of one million rubles: 500,000 rubles for the first place, 300,000 rubles for the second, 200,000 rubles for the third. 226 teams reached the final defenses. In the task from the Moscow Department of Construction, the participants created a software module based on artificial intelligence to automatically determine the type of MSW. The second place  case "Determining the type of construction waste in the body of a vehicle"  case was taken by the COSMSTARS team, which included Ilya Eliseev, a student of the Faculty of Mathematics, Information and Aviation Technologies.
