Irina Kolodiy, a student of the Medical Faculty of Ulyanovsk State University, took third place at the international Olympiad "From the teachings of Abu Ali ibn Sino-to the Third Renaissance", which was held on December 25-26 at the Bukhara State Medical Institute named after Abu Ali ibn Sino (Republic of Uzbekistan).

The international jury consisted of leading professors and staff of medical universities in Kazakhstan, Russia, China, Belarus, Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, India, Pakistan and Malaysia. They rated the participants' responses on a 100-point scale.
 The Olympiad was held in 36 disciplines, in directions «General medicine », «Stomatology» and «Fundamental Sciences» in three languages: English, Russian and Uzbek. 

The competition brought together more than 1,500 students from 21 countries-representatives of 167 higher medical educational institutions. The tests were conducted in three stages: testing; solving situational problems and clinical cases; evaluating the implementation of practical skills
