On May 12, International Nurses Day was celebrated. Students of the  USU medical college named after A. L. Polenovtogether with curators Olga Mityushkina and Guzalia Kanyusheva took part in the regional history program "Siberian Sisters of Mercy" in the specialized library "World of Arts" No. 1.

From a conversation with Anton Dolmatov, director of the Arkady Plastov Museum, the audience learned about the history of the formation of the Sisters of Mercy movement in Russia, starting with the feat of Daria Sevastopol during the Crimean War. Information about the organization of the sisterhood in Simbirsk was supplemented with the history of the restoration of this tradition in USU.
