Attaché of the French Embassy in Russia Marianne Drobo participates in the conference at USU

The third International Linguoculturological Conference of students and schoolchildren "Actual linguoculturological aspects of the work of I. A. Goncharov and a new look at the problems of the novel" Oblomov "in the modern international space "was held in USU with the support of the French Embassy in Moscow and the International "Alliance-Francaise" Center »

The forum, organized by the specialists of the Institute of International Relations of USU, was also supported by the CNAM University (Paris) and the Jean Jaures University (Toulouse). The conference was preceded by the opening day of comics from France.

Marianne Drobo, Attache of the French Embassy in Russia, delivered a welcoming speech

— The exhibition started in 2020, which in France was declared the year of the comic book genre. This art is almost 100 years old. The adventures of Asterix and Obelix, Tin-Tin, are probably the most famous illustrations in France. I wanted to bring this genre of art and literature to Russian readers, students so that they would know it along with Marvel comics and Japanese manga. They are studied in schools as a certain art, but comics can also become the basis of textbooks for studying history or geography.

The university students made presentations on the topics "The image of Oblomov in classical Russian literature", "Can we assume that Oblomov is another type of " Superfluous Man", and his behavior is a protest against the vices of society?", " Translators of the novel by I. A. Goncharov "Oblomov" into French, English, and German", etc.
