On November 11, the Russian-German Faculty hosted an international online seminar "Political and economic changes in the Ulyanovsk region over the past 40 years" with the participation of Honorary Professor of USU, Deputy Minister of Innovative Development of Uzbekistan Karsten Heinz, and lecturer of the German Academic Exchange Service DAAD Mario Radermacher.

Students in German and English discussed the changes in politics, economy, healthcare, the social life of the region and noted the special role of important representatives of these areas who contributed to the development of the Ulyanovsk region.

The key points of discussion were 1980, 2000, and 2020. In addition, the seminar participants discussed the prospects for the development of the region until 2040 and showed their presentations.
