The international week of science "The Power of Engineering" was held in the regions of the scientific and educational center "Engineering of the Future". On February 16, on the final day of the thematic week, a solemn ceremony of awarding the Engineering of the Future award took place.  

 "The world-class REC Engineering of the Future team has already declared itself as a winning team. By joint efforts, in the shortest possible time, we managed to achieve victory in the federal competition and obtain a high status of a world-class center, as well as show the best results of work among all RECs of the country by the end of 2020," Dmitry Azarov said.

 The Chairman of the Government of the Ulyanovsk region presented awards in the nominations "Intelligence of the scientific and educational center", "Aerobatics", "Mentors", "Young Engineers" and a special award of the Governor of the Ulyanovsk region in the nomination "Planet IT".

USU President Yuri Polyanskov was awarded in the category "Aerobatics", the vice-rector for pre-university education and the organization of admission of students of USU Elena Guzenko, beginning researchers Ekaterina Lapteva, Mikhail Nikolaev, Adel Shakirov, Alexander Ovechkin, Kirill Nikishin, Alexander Yafarkin, Ekaterina Krasheninnikova received awards in various categories.
