Zagir Kerimkhanov -  first-year student of the Faculty of Law -won silver at the championship of the Volga Federal District in freestyle wrestling.

Competitions among athletes under the age of 21 were held in Orenburg. More than 500 athletes from 14 regions took part. Together with the silver medal, USU student received the right to participate in the championship of Russia – the tournament will be held in mid-April in Yakutsk. Zagir performs in the weight category up to 92 kg, he is coached by Hasan Khalilov, a senior lecturer at the Department of Physical Culture of USU.
