The trip was  possible thanks to the cooperation of Ulyanovsk State University and Harbin Medical University. A group of 2nd-5th year students led by Larisa Ilmukhina Associate Professor of the Department of Dermatovenerology and Infectious Diseases expands their competencies by adopting foreign experience. The curriculum includes lectures and practical classes on surgery, neurology, infectious diseases, intensive care, cardiology, and epidemiology.

The guests got acquainted with the infrastructure of the university and worked at the university clinic. Popular scientific events - excursions to the anatomical museum, the medical library, and the museum of Harbin University – allowed to consolidate practical knowledge.

In addition, it is planned to hold a Russian-Chinese international student conference "Topical issues of clinical medicine".

The host party has prepared an interesting program for the delegation from USU. Students visited the Polar Aquarium, the Ussuri Tiger Reserve, the area of Baroque buildings, the Vostochny Railway Bridge, walked along the Central Pedestrian Street, saw St. Sophia Cathedral and the Opera House.

Harbin Medical University is located in Heilongjiang Province, the university was founded in 1926 and today is known all over the world for its participation in the Chinese Human Genome project, research in the field of oncology, heart transplantation. Every year, the university selects and enrolls talented international students.
