USU is a co-organizer of the youth festival of national cultures
"For Peace and Friendship" festival brought together young people of different nationalities, students from other regions of Russia and foreign countries.
International students of USU presented the cultural traditions of their countries, read the works of Pushkin. The main purpose of the event was the development of intercultural dialogue. The program included dance battles, karaoke, a demonstration of national costumes, master classes in folk art, street art and an ethnodiscoteca.
"We want the festival to become a platform for the unification and friendship of young people of different nationalities and faiths living in our region. Through presentation methods understandable to young people, they get acquainted with the traditions of different peoples," commented Maria Bokhonok, project manager.
