The competition was organized on the initiative of the Rehabilitation Union of Russia. The co-organizers are Ulyanovsk State University, the Russian-Chinese Association of Medical Universities, the Federal Center for Brain and Neurotechnology of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency. The main purpose of the event is to search for and promote the most promising scientific, socially oriented and technical developments in the field of medical rehabilitation.

For the first time, the competition was organized in Ulyanovsk in 2018 as part of the international conference "Nexus Medicus: Modern approaches to rehabilitation issues". Then, at the initiative of the Rehabilitation Union of Russia, the first youth forum "Rehabilitation +" was held, and a cooperation agreement was signed between USU and the Union of Rehabilitation Specialists of Russia for the active development of youth rehabilitation and training.

The winners and prize-winners, as well as their scientific supervisors, received diplomas and gifts from the organizers. Once again, the Rehabilitation + competition brought together people, ideas and experiences for the main goal of improving the quality of life of patients and returning them to a full life.
